Face of Xtyle / Ambassador Search

Each year we choose two ambassadors for our company at this event. These ambassadors win amazing prizes and get maximum exposure through our company. The finals of this competition will take place at the 2019 IFBB Millennium Gold Plate Fitness and Bodybuilding Show.

Face of Xtyle / Ambassador Search

Each year we choose 1 to 2 men and ladies to be the ambassadors for our company for a duration of 1 year.

Main Requirement to enter this competition:

  • The entrant may not be sponsored by or affiliated with any competitors of  Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment or competitors of sponsors for this competition
  • The entrant may not be a “PRO Athlete” at a bodybuilding federation other then the IFBB

Why we run this competition annually

  • To give athletes the opportunity to build up a profound portfolio to find sponsorship
  • To give athletes and fitness enthusiasts a “foot in the door” in the fitness industry
  • To give athletes exposure and assist with growth in the industry

Entrants will be judged on:

  • 2 Photos submitted by the entrant (please see photo requirements below)
  • A personal interview
  • The final competition consisting of two on stage divisions:
    • Bikini round (ladies) / Hot pant round (men)
    • Sports wear round

Entrants need to submit:

  • 1 x Head and Shoulder photo that expresses your facial features.
  • 1 x Full Front Body Photo. Ladies with bikini or hot pants and sports top and men with board shorts, hot pants or posing trunks. – We have to be able to see your abs, upper body and lower body clearly

Your personal interview will either be with the Xtyle Fitness Managing Director alone or the director with one or two of her colleagues or partners

  • How did you get into fitness/why do you enjoy fitness (your “fitness life” story)
  • Tell us more about yourself, your hobbies, interests, work, etc.
  • Times and days your are usually available
  • Who in the fitness industry is your role model and why
  • Do you have any special skills
  • Are you willing to travel

Interview Dress Code:

Comfortable and Informal

1. Ladies Bikini Round

We are looking for a sporty, fit, toned physique. The lady athlete should have some ab definition and not be excessively muscular. There has to be balance of the upper and lower body, the candidate should present herself in a healthy and attractive total package. She needs to be comfortable with who she is and with her body – and she must bring her personality.

We will look at the hair and facial beauty; the overall body development and shape; the presentation of a balanced, symmetrically developed, complete physique; the condition of the skin and the skin tone; and the athlete’s ability to present herself with confidence, poise and grace.

The body parts should have a nice and firm appearance with a decreased amount of body fat. The physique should neither be excessively muscular nor excessively lean. The assessment will also take into consideration the tightness and tone of the skin. The skin should be smooth and healthy in appearance, and without cellulite. The face, hair and makeup should complete the ‘Total Package.

A two piece bikini must be worn. Any colour that the athlete choses, patterns are allowed and any amount of “bling” is allowed on the bikini. Only basic jewellery may be worn (ear rings, max 2 bracelets). Any type of shoe that matches or compliments the athlete’s bikini may be worn. The bikini top and bottom has to be of an acceptable size as to cover all necessary areas adequately.

2. Ladies Sport Wear Round

We are looking for a fit, toned (muscular in the case of the men) physique that looks great in fitness-wear. The candidate should present him/herself in a healthy and attractive total package.  He/She needs to be comfortable with who he/she is and with their body – and she must bring her personality to stage. Confidence but not arrogance.

We will look at the style of the sports wear and how well it presents his/her body. The hair and facial beauty matching the style of the sportswear; the overall body development and shape, the athlete’s ability to present him/herself with confidence. Any type of sportswear may be worn with sports shoes. No jewellery is allowed.

What would be expected on stage

Competitors will walk onstage in a single line in number sequence; they will then stand in a line with hips and body facing the judges in a relaxed manner with their arms at their sides

The MC will then call for A FULL TURN and the line-up of athletes will turn completely to face the back of the stage. They will hold this for a time standing in a relaxed manner arms at their side.

The MC will once again call for A FULL TURN and the line-up of athletes will turn

completely to face the judges again. They will hold this for a time.

All of the athletes will then leave the stage.

The athletes will then return one by one and perform a Model T-Walk. The Model Walk consists of the following:

  • Walk to the centre of the stage, stop and do a front and rear pose
  • Turn and walk to the left side of the stage, stop and perform a front and back pose
  • Walk to the right side of the stage, stop and perform a front and back pose
  • The athlete will then leave the stage

Modelling and Bodybuilding poses are allowed.

Finally the entire line up will be called back on to stage and face the Judges.

 

1. Men Hot Pant Round

We are looking for a athletic, muscular physique. We will also look at the condition of the skin and skin tone and also the hair and facial features.

Judges will be looking for fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. Extreme muscularity is allowed if good facial features are represented.

There has to be balance of the upper and lower body, the candidate should present himself in a healthy and attractive total package. He needs to be comfortable with who he is and with his body – confident but not arrogant.

They will look at the overall body development and shape; the presentation of a balanced, symmetrically developed, complete physique.

A “hot pant” must be worn for this round. Any colour that the athlete choses, patterns are allowed.  No “bling” is allowed on the pants. No jewellery may be worn. The athlete will do this round bare footed.

2. Men Sport Wear Round

The candidate should present him/herself in a healthy and attractive total package.  He/She needs to be comfortable with who he/she is and with their body – and she must bring her personality to stage. Confidence but not arrogance.

1. COMPETITION RULES, T&C'S

  1. Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  2. No entry photographs will be returned.
  3. No entry will be accepted without a completed entry form and full payment.
  4. Prizes are as advertised, and are not exchangeable for cash.
  5. Competition entries close 5 April 2019; no late entries will be accepted. The competition opens 1 November 2018.
  6. The competition is open to all men and ladies aged 18 and older, Gauteng, South Africa based residents. 
  7. If winners cannot fulfil their roles, the runners up will be promoted as the winners. Fulfilment is deemed as being able to attend necessary events, video and photo shoots, as well as representing the Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment brand in a positive manner.
  8. Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment reserves the right to change or substitute any of the prizes due to sponsors withdrawing from the competition. Prizes may also be added.
  9. Winners may not be a part of any fitness event posters or adverts other than those run by Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment or its affiliated companies for a period of 1 year. – Winners will be required to sign a contractual agreement.
  10. Ambassador winners from previous years may not enter for a period of 1 year
  11. Any digital photograph entries that have been edited or modified will be disqualified. Please read our photo requirements.
  12. The winners must be able to provide positive identification to certify his or her age.
  13. Should the candidate be unable for any reason to enter into a contract with Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment, Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment will not promote him or her under any winning title and Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment reserves the right to select a new winner. Terms and conditions laid out in the contract are at the discretion of Xtyle Fitness and Entertainment.
  14. Stage or action photographs are allowed, but must be clear.
  15. All entrants must be available to attend an interview with our company 1 week before the final event.
  16. The photo shoot for the two winners will be done by Muscle Evolution photographer, Soulby Jackson.
  17. Any other terms and conditions may be added without the company having to notify any applicant thereof.
